About Emily

Emily Johnston is an associate lawyer in the firm's drug regulatory and intellectual property litigation practice. She received her JD from Queen's University in 2024 and was called to the bar the following year. Before law school, she studied at McMaster University, earning a Bachelor of Health Science and a master's degree in Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization, with a research thesis in microbiology and an internship as an associate product manager at a rare disease pharmaceutical company. During law school she won the Bereskin & Parr prize in Patent Law and competed in the Harold G. Fox Moot, then articled at a national IP law boutique. She belongs to the Law Society of Ontario, the Advocates' Society, and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.
