About Daniel
Daniel Cappe is a Goodmans partner working within the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, where his practice centers on intellectual property, technology, health care, and corporate/commercial disputes. He has substantial experience litigating patent, trademark, and copyright infringement cases, along with contractual, shareholder, tort, defamation, and oppression claims, and has appeared before Ontario's Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal, as well as the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal. His recognitions include being named a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation Canada, rankings in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and IAM Patent 1000, and a feature in the Lexpert Special Edition on Health Sciences; he has also lectured on patent law at Queen's University and contributed a co-authored chapter on Canadian patent enforcement to an internationally published 2021 book. Outside his practice, Daniel has volunteered as duty counsel with Law Help Ontario since 2008 and has served as a director with VIBE Arts and the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club.
