About Derek

Derek Varrin is an associate in the Business Law Group at Gowling WLG in Toronto focusing on corporate and securities law, particularly public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and capital markets transactions. He received the Queen's Law Prize in Mergers and Acquisitions and the Heenan Blaikie LLP Scholarship. Before joining the firm, he interned at the National Hockey League Players' Association researching and drafting salary arbitration briefs.
