About Deborah

Deborah Guterman is an associate at Cavalluzzo LLP who represents large provincial and federal trade unions and associations in mediation and grievance arbitration, advising on labour, human rights, health and safety, and employment issues. She also represents professionals, including education and health care workers, in regulatory and child welfare investigations and proceedings, and she offers services in both English and French. Deborah joined Cavalluzzo as an associate in 2019 after articling with the firm, following her law degree from McGill University's Faculty of Law in 2018. While at McGill she coordinated a migrant justice project and helped found a prisoners' legal support collective, and she volunteered as an advisor at a community poverty clinic. Before law school she earned a BA from McGill and an MA in Middle East Studies from New York University. She belongs to the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers, and l'Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario.
