About David
David Shaw is a partner and chairs Dale & Lessmann's Corporate & Commercial practice group. He works on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, franchising and distribution arrangements, and corporate finance, with clients across technology, agribusiness, engineering, finance, retail, restaurants, cannabis and wholesale distribution. With more than 20 years in the field, he negotiates share and asset purchases, shareholder and partnership agreements, joint ventures, and licensing and financing arrangements, and he advises both Canadian and foreign businesses on cross-border transactions. His franchise practice covers master franchise and area development agreements, disclosure documents, rebranding, and franchise acquisitions and terminations.
