David Quesnel practises civil, commercial and administrative litigation and has tried cases across a range of legal areas. He develops case strategy from the outset of a client relationship, whether the matter proceeds through the courts or an alternative dispute resolution process. He has handled a significant number of injunction and other extraordinary-remedy files, including Anton Piller orders and pre-judgment seizures, and is regularly appointed independent supervising counsel in Anton Piller injunctions. He sits on his firm's conflicts-of-interest committee and is frequently consulted by other law firms facing disqualification applications. His matters have included defending a security company in a $15-million claim following an explosion at a manufacturing plant, representing traditional snow crab fishers from Quebec and New Brunswick against the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and obtaining a judgment annulling a call for tenders issued by the Réseau de Transport Métropolitain. He holds an LL.B. with distinction from the Université de Montréal.
