About Lucy-Maude

Lucy-Maude Lachance practises civil and commercial litigation with a focus on construction and employment law, and has appeared before all levels of Quebec's civil courts. She regularly advises construction-industry clients on managing and resolving disputes, including in real time on active job sites. In employment matters she represents executives in contract negotiations and severance, and represents both employers and employees in non-solicitation and non-competition disputes. She is accredited by the Barreau du Quebec to conduct workplace psychological harassment investigations and has served as an independent investigator in several matters. Her matters have included representing the Canadian Association of University Teachers, construction subcontractors and engineering firms, and Desjardins in a class action over mortgage prepayment penalties. She holds an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal and a B.A. from Université Laval, and was named to The Best Lawyers in Canada for commercial litigation in 2025.
