About David
David Germain is a partner whose practice centres on municipal, land use planning, and expropriation law. He advises municipalities, developers, businesses, and individuals on land use applications and appeals, agreements arising under the Planning Act, municipal authority and procedure, expropriations, aggregate extraction proposals, infrastructure projects, and environmental matters. David has appeared before the Ontario Land Tribunal and its predecessor bodies, along with joint boards, adjustment committees, municipal councils, and courts at every level in Ontario. He also teaches municipal law through AMCTO, the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario, and sits on the Professional Engineers of Ontario's Discipline Committee. He was called to the bar in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Music from McGill University, a master's degree from Columbia University, and a J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
