About David
David is Counsel in McInnes Cooper's Halifax office practicing energy, regulatory and natural resources law, with a particular emphasis on downstream natural gas and electricity projects. He appears regularly before regulatory tribunals including the National Energy Board, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, and the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board, acting for gas and electric utilities, independent power producers, industrial energy users and project developers. He has been involved with most of the independent power projects and power plant transactions in the Maritimes over the past two decades, including gas-fired co-generation, hydro, biomass and wind power projects. David holds an LL.M. from the University of Reading, an LL.B./M.B.A. from Dalhousie University, and a B.Sc. in Geology from Mount Allison University, and is admitted to the bar in Ontario, England and Wales, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
