About Daryn
Daryn Leas is Counsel and co-Head of Boughton Law's Indigenous Group, focusing his practice on constitutional, environmental, employment and administrative law as they affect First Nations. He has advised several Yukon First Nations on negotiating and implementing land claim and self-government agreements, been involved in specific claims settlements and resource transfer agreements, and served as chief legal counsel for the Council of Yukon First Nations. He has also represented First Nations in the British Columbia Treaty Process and Indigenous governments in the Northwest Territories on constitutional and land claim matters. He is a member of the Tr'ondek Hwech'in First Nation. He was called to the BC Bar in 1994, the Yukon Bar in 1995, and the Northwest Territories Bar in 2013. He practises through a personal law corporation.
