About Dara

Dara Penner is an associate lawyer at Alexander Stewart with a litigation-focused practice, having conducted matters in the Federal Court, the Provincial Court of BC, and the Supreme Court of BC, including on appeal. She earned her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in 2014, articled in Kamloops, and was called to the bar in 2015. Before law school, she completed a Bachelor of Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, where she grew up. Dara's practice experience spans Aboriginal, administrative, bankruptcy and insolvency, benefits, business and regulatory, commercial, constitutional, contract, creditors' remedies, Crown liability, human rights, immigration, information and privacy, labour and employment, real property, tax, tort, and wills and estates matters. She belongs to the Law Society of British Columbia and the Victoria Bar Association.
