Daniel Nugent has practised law in B.C. for more than 30 years, specializing in bankruptcy and insolvency work, representing both creditors and companies undergoing restructuring, with a practice that also covers secured debt recovery, commercial leasing disputes, landlord-tenant conflicts, and insurance litigation. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Trial Advocacy at the University of British Columbia (2014-present) and previously led legal charitable giving initiatives for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He holds an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia (1989) and a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College (1986), and was called to the bar in 1990. He was recognized by Best Lawyers for Personal Injury Law from 2013 to 2026.
