About Andrea

Andrea Petersen is the founder and principal lawyer of ACE Legal, practicing family law in the Greater Vancouver and Cranbrook areas of British Columbia. Her practice covers separation, divorce, parenting disputes, spousal and child support, property division, and prenuptial and marriage agreements, along with a limited immigration practice in spousal sponsorship and refugee law. She represents clients before the BC Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court. Before becoming a lawyer, she worked as a cancer researcher and as a tenured life sciences lecturer at Vancouver Community College, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology. She was drawn to law after advocating for her child's learning disability needs within the public school system.
