About Melissa
Melissa S. Byer is a family law lawyer at Stock Family Law. Born in Toronto, she graduated cum laude with an honours degree in criminology from the University of Ottawa in 1994 and earned her LL.B. from the University of Alberta in 1998. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 1999. Byer began her career in corporate and securities law before moving into family law practice, and she has experience with complex business valuations and matters involving Indigenous law.
