About Dan
Dan Black is an employment lawyer at Caravel Law who advises private and public sector businesses across provincial and federal jurisdictions. Drawing on both private practice and in-house experience, he helps clients navigate employment standards, employment contracts, occupational health and safety, human rights, and the human resources side of corporate reorganizations. He co-developed and teaches the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers' course on the obligations and liabilities of occupational health and safety professionals, one of six courses required for the CSSE's Certified Health and Safety Consultant designation. He earned his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994 and a BA from the University of Toronto in 1991.
