About Christine

Christine Pound is a partner at Stewart McKelvey in Halifax, advising Canadian and international companies on transactional, financing, project and corporate governance matters. She guides clients including private equity firms, family offices and owner-managed businesses through mergers and acquisitions, and has significant experience in the defence and security sector supporting procurement and cross-border financing. She frequently leads multidisciplinary teams on high-value transactions across sectors such as automotive, construction, environmental services and telecommunications, and regularly advises boards on directors' and officers' obligations and governance strategy. Christine was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2004, holding an LLB from Dalhousie University (2003) and a BSc from Acadia University (2000). She serves as a trustee of PROREIT and chairs the International Women's Forum's Atlantic Canada chapter, and has been recognized by Chambers and Partners and Best Lawyers for her corporate and M&A work.
