About Chris

Chris Goddard is a partner at Miskin Law who joined in 2018 and became partner in 2020. He acts for plaintiffs after motor vehicle and boating accidents, slip and falls, dog attacks, nursing home negligence, and denied long-term disability claims. Called to the Ontario bar in 1997, he holds an LLB from Queen's University and has more than 29 years of experience. Before moving to the plaintiff side, Chris was managing lawyer at Desjardins Insurance, overseeing a 17-lawyer team defending tort, accident benefits, fraud, and subrogation files, which gives him insight into how insurers build their defences. He holds a NITA diploma in trial advocacy and previously worked as a health care journalist for publications including the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
