About Murray

Murray H. Miskin founded Miskin Law in 1988 after being called to the Ontario bar in 1981. He earned a B.A. from Trent University in 1976 and his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1979, then spent his early years handling accident claim compensation before broadening into real estate, wills and estates, family law, and criminal work. In 2004 his practice shifted toward injuries from dangerous products, including prescription drugs and asbestos claims. Murray has also worked as an arbitrator since 1987 and a mediator since 1997, teaching the qualifying Alternative Dispute Resolution course through the University of Toronto and, later, independently. With the firm now grown to four lawyers, he has shifted much of his time to managing the practice and advising on estate planning from its Peterborough and Oshawa offices.
