About Chris
Chris Cochrane is a partner at A+R Law LLP whose solicitor practice represents modern treaty nations in BC and the Yukon, focusing on negotiating complex commercial agreements, regulatory affairs, consultation, and treaty implementation. He has broad experience guiding modern treaty nations through environmental assessments and other regulatory review and approval processes, and has concluded benefits agreements in mining, pipelines, and hydroelectric projects along with related funding and joint venture arrangements. He also assists treaty governments with drafting and implementing legislation and government policy. Before joining A+R in 2011, Chris was a senior solicitor for BC Hydro on Indigenous, regulatory, and commercial matters. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2001 and in the Yukon in 2017.
