About Chima

Chima Ubani is a partner based in Osler's Montreal office within the Emerging and High Growth Companies Group, and he chairs the firm's Venture Fund Group. His corporate and securities law practice centres on structuring and forming private equity and venture capital funds, along with fund investments, emerging company matters, corporate finance, and private M&A work. Chima has represented numerous private equity and venture capital funds on their formation and structuring, and counsels pension funds on their investments in Canadian and international private equity vehicles. He also regularly advises growing companies at every stage, together with the venture funds and other investors backing them. In 2020, Chima was named a Lexpert Rising Star among Canada's leading lawyers under 40.
