About Charlotte
Charlotte Conlin is senior counsel with more than 25 years of experience in commercial litigation, focusing on shareholder disputes, proxy contests, directors' liability, corporate risk management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and class actions. She advises public, private, and not-for-profit organizations, regulators, and other public bodies on identifying legal risk in transactions and assessing operational and director liability exposure. Charlotte has appeared before courts in Ontario and Alberta as well as the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada, and several of her matters have produced reported decisions on significant legal issues. Charlotte was a law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario and started her career as a commercial litigator, later working as research and opinions counsel at three national firms before joining the firm. She was called to the bar in 1997, holds an LL.B. (cum laude) from the University of Ottawa (1995), and a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Toronto (1989).
