About Charlie White

Charlie White handles commercial litigation for Gowling WLG from the Waterloo Region office, taking on a wide mix of business and civil disputes. As an associate, Charlie has appeared for clients in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and at the Divisional Court. Charlie's areas of focus also take in municipal law, infrastructure work and arbitration, both domestic and international.

Charlie articled as a judicial law clerk with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, then was called to the Ontario bar in 2022. That August, Henein Hutchison LLP welcomed Charlie to its civil litigation team as an associate. Charlie's commercial and civil litigation practice was based at a litigation firm in downtown Toronto before the move to Gowling WLG.

As a law student, Charlie spent a summer at the Simcoe County Crown Attorney's office, and a full semester went to a placement at the Crown Attorney's office in Fredericton.

At the University of New Brunswick, Charlie made the Dean's List, argued in the Wilson Moot (a national competition) and did a judicial internship at the New Brunswick Court of Appeal. The road to law ran through Carleton University, where Charlie studied English literature alongside religious studies.
