About Charles

Charles (Chuck) Guberman practises with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP in Winnipeg, primarily in family law, alternative dispute resolution, real estate, and wills and estates. He has extensive family law experience, advocating on property accounting, child support, spousal and common-law support, and custody and access matters, and has prepared many pre-nuptial, cohabitation, and separation agreements. He has expanded his practice into collaborative law, mediation, and arbitration, and has been asked by other lawyers to act as a mediator. Guberman earned a B.A. in history and political science and his LL.B., both from the University of Manitoba, graduating from law school in 1975, and was called to the Manitoba bar in 1976. He has been a sessional lecturer at the university's Faculty of Law and a longtime volunteer with community organizations including the Rady JCC and the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg. His services are provided through C.N. Guberman Law Corporation.
