About Cerine

Cerine Bariz is an associate in DWF's Montréal office, practising primarily in civil litigation, insurance law, and debt recovery. She joined the firm in August 2025 after earning her law degree from the University of Montreal and being admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2023. During her studies she worked with community organizations providing legal support to individuals and small businesses, developing a pragmatic, client-focused approach to her practice. Bariz represents insurers across a range of litigation matters, including civil liability, insurance coverage, and subrogation claims, and is recognized for explaining complex issues in plain language. She is a member of the Jeune Barreau de Montréal and the Montreal Association of Insurance Women.
