About Carla
Carla Black works to prevent and resolve workplace disputes in ways that are practical and cost-effective for her clients, who include hospitals, municipalities, not-for-profit organizations, Crown agencies, and businesses in manufacturing, technology and services. She regularly appears as counsel in collective bargaining negotiations, grievance arbitrations, and proceedings before courts and administrative tribunals. Carla has a particular interest in human rights claims, including workplace harassment and discrimination issues. She earned a BA in History and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University before her call to the bar in 2009. While in law school she published academic articles on health policy and workplace mental health, and she has continued to write on employment and labour law.
