About Joel

Joel Chevrefils has practiced criminal law in Calgary since 2004, leading Alberta Criminal Defence Lawyers and focusing on first-time offenders and clients who cannot risk a criminal record or incarceration. He has represented clients facing assault, impaired and dangerous driving, and drug possession and trafficking charges, among other criminal code and traffic safety matters, and his firm makes docket court appearances on clients' behalf so they don't have to attend in person. The firm has over 65 years of combined defence experience and has served clients across Alberta, from Lethbridge to Fort McMurray, for over 40 years. Chevrefils is a graduate of the University of Calgary.
