About Brianne Quesnel

Brianne Quesnel works on the agreements that move businesses from one owner to another, in a corporate and commercial practice centred on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Brianne is an associate with Gowling WLG's Business Law Group in Toronto. Clients have come from construction, technology, consulting and professional services, along with companies that make and distribute commercial and industrial goods.

Western University is Brianne's school twice over: an honours specialization in health sciences came first, in 2016, and a law degree followed in 2019. Brianne was called to the bar in Ontario the next year.

The deal record shows the practice at work. In 2022 Brianne sat on Gowling WLG teams for ZEDRA as it bought Axelia Partners LLC, for Gridiron Capital on the Canadian side of its investment in Vertical Supply Group, and for the shareholders of Maslack Supply Limited when Uni-Select Inc. closed its purchase of the company. The following year brought corporate work for Cooper Equipment Rentals, which took over all the shares of Toronto's Hub Equipment, and for Living Assistance Services on its sale to Integracare Inc. Then, in January 2024, Brianne joined the team advising Canadian Dental Services Corporation on its acquisition of Davis Orthodontics.

If you're selling a company, buying one, or setting the terms between co-owners, Brianne's day-to-day work is the paper behind it: share and asset purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements and partnership agreements, negotiated, drafted and reviewed. Brianne has also written on joint ventures, contributing to the Canadian chapter of Lexology's Getting the Deal Through guide in 2022 and again for the 2024 edition.
