About Briana
Briana Cott is an associate at Kawaguchi Krajden LLP who was called to the bar in 2016 and has practised insurance defence litigation since then. Her work focuses on bodily injury motor vehicle claims and statutory accident benefits claims of varying complexity, including issues involving the Minor Injury Guideline and catastrophic impairment. She has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and frequently before the Licence Appeal Tribunal, including arguing preliminary motions on relevance and production issues. In early 2026 she co-authored a paper on the changes to the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule that took effect on July 1, 2026.
