About Matthew

Matthew Roberts joined JB Lawyers as an articling student in 2024 and became an associate in 2025, maintaining a broad solicitor practice with a particular focus on corporate, commercial, and real estate law. Originally from North Vancouver, he studied international relations at Mount Allison University before working as a policy coordinator for a major Canadian insurer in Halifax, and completed an internship at the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C. He holds a BA (Hons.) in International Relations from Mount Allison University (2019) and a JD from the University of Victoria (2024), and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2025. He speaks French fluently and has conversational German and Spanish.
