About Brett
Brett Layton joined the firm as an associate in 2022 after completing his articling term there. He maintains a general litigation practice focused primarily on insurance defence. Layton earned his J.D. from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal University, where he played varsity basketball. During law school he volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada's Family Law Duty Counsel project, gaining experience working with clients on civil matters. He takes a client centred approach to resolving legal problems for the people he represents. Layton was called to the Alberta Bar in 2022.
