About Brandon

Brandon Wiener advises investment funds and their managers on tax matters related to fund structuring, and also represents clients dealing with the tax authorities during audits, assessments, or voluntary disclosures, drawing on a background in tax litigation. He sits on the firm's Management Committee and co-chairs its Recruitment Committee. Before arriving at Thorsteinssons in 2010, he worked in the litigation and tax groups of a large national firm's Montreal office and clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada for Justice Michel Bastarache. Wiener holds a B.Sc. and a B.C.L./LL.B. from McGill University, was admitted to the Bar of Québec in 2003 and later to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2005, and practices in French on matters involving federal, Ontario, and Québec tax law.
