About Brandon
Brandon Tigchelaar is a partner at Beard Winter focusing on private mergers and acquisitions and general commercial work. He also advises public issuers on financings and on compliance and governance matters, and he helps structure tax-efficient reorganizations for private companies. Before joining Beard Winter, he spent five years at national firms in Calgary and Toronto working on private M&A and public issuer files. While in law school he worked for the Office of the Official Opposition in New Brunswick and helped draft the province's Child and Youth Advocate Act. He brings a background in mathematics and an interest in market economics and behavioural finance to his legal work. He was called to the bar in Alberta in 2005 and in Ontario in 2008. Brandon holds an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Brock University.
