About Denis
Denis Frawley's practice centers on corporate and securities law, and he frequently advises Canadian and international businesses in sectors built around intellectual property development and commercialization. He also has decades of experience with clients in mineral resource exploration. Denis regularly acts as counsel on private and public company mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and corporate governance matters, and he negotiates intellectual property licensing, professional services, and manufacturing agreements. He began his career in the private equity group of a New York firm and later helped support a venture capital fund in Toronto, experience he draws on when advising founders and investors. Beyond his legal work, Denis has helped build several ventures, including a venture capital fund and a foreign exchange trading company. He holds an LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University and a degree in economics from the University of Ottawa, and he was called to the New York bar in 1997 and the Ontario bar in 1998.
