About Benjamin

Ben Markusoff is a litigator at Beard Winter whose practice covers employment and civil litigation. He acts for both employers and employees in workplace disputes, advising employers on avoiding conflict and preparing for litigation when it can't be avoided, while offering employees practical guidance tailored to their situations. He has a particular interest in cases involving executives and employees dismissed for cause. His broader civil litigation work touches on shareholder disputes, real estate and lease disagreements, and professional negligence claims. Ben has appeared before every level of court in Ontario and Alberta, including both provinces' Courts of Appeal, as well as before administrative tribunals and private arbitrators. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2020 and serves as Vice-Chair of the Ontario Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division for the Central region, volunteering as a team lead with the Ottawa Pro Bono Employment Clinic.
