About Balkar
Balkar Gill, LL.B., LL.M. was born and raised in Calgary and earned a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science from the University of Calgary in 2016. He then attended law school at the University of Leicester in England, earning his Bachelor of Laws with upper-second-class honours in 2018, before completing a Master of Laws in Canadian Common Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University in 2019. He received his Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation, began working for David Yanko at Yanko & Popovic in 2020, articling under Herman Sidhu, and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2021. He continues to practice at Yanko & Popovic as a personal injury lawyer.
