About Herman

Herman S. Sidhu, LL.B. was born in Calgary and earned his law degree from the University of Leicester School of Law in England, later receiving his Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation. He began articling with David Yanko in 2012 and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2013. He has spent his career representing injured claimants across personal injury law, including motor vehicle collisions, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, medical negligence and aviation-related injuries, as well as disability benefits, insurance disputes and employment matters. His advocacy has taken him before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King's Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal. In January 2025 his name was added to the firm, now Yanko Popovic Sidhu, and he has mentored six articling students. He is fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
