About Ayana

Ayana McAdam is a lawyer at Edmonton Law Office who joined the firm in April 2023 after being called to the Alberta bar in 2019. Her general practice covers civil litigation, family law, and real estate law, with a specialized focus on commercial leases, condominium law, wills and estates, and insurance law. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of London and a Post Graduate Certificate in Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School, and was first called to the bar in her home country of Jamaica in 2013, where she practised wills and estate administration for two years. Before law school, McAdam earned bachelor's degrees in Business Administration from Saint Louis University's Madrid campus and in Pure Chemistry from the University of the West Indies. Since moving to Edmonton in 2017, she has volunteered with the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Community Legal Clinic.
