About Michael

Murray is a partner at SB LLP practising family law, estate litigation, and civil litigation. Murray's family law work covers parenting, child support, spousal and partner support, and property division for married and unmarried couples, with experience and training in alternative dispute resolution. As head of the Wills and Estates department, Murray oversees the firm's estate litigation matters, and Murray's civil litigation practice includes construction disputes and builders' lien matters, debt collection, contractual disputes, employment matters, civil fraud, and injunctive relief. Murray has appeared at the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and the Alberta Court of Appeal, holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta (2016) and an Honours Bachelor of Public Administration from York University (2012), and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2017 after articling at the firm.
