Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionArlene Blake was raised in the Northwest Territories and began her career as a deputy sheriff with the itinerant Supreme Court there, later taking conflict resolution training with the Justice Institute of BC while working for the Government of the NWT. She later earned her law degree at the University of Calgary and was called to the Alberta bar in 2006 and the Northwest Territories bar in 2010. Her general practice covers wills and estates, adult guardianship and real estate, along with arbitration and administrative law; she has been a member of the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society since 1994 and has acted as arbitrator for the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan since that year. She obtained her chartered arbitrator status from the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada in 2012 and has served as presiding officer and panel member on several municipal and provincial administrative tribunals, writing more than 300 decisions.
