About Anneke

Anneke Russell joined SMM Law Professional Corporation as an associate in 2017 after being admitted to the Bar of Ontario. She was previously called to the bar as an Attorney-at-Law in Jamaica and as a Barrister-at-Law and Solicitor in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Russell earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Waterloo in 2006, a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of the West Indies in 2011, and graduated top of her class from Norman Manley Law School in 2013. Before her Ontario call, she interned with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and practised civil litigation there. She grew up in Jamaica but has family roots in Cobourg and moved there in 2015. Her practice focuses on wills and estates, business law, and real estate.
