About Kady
Kady McCourt is originally from the Cobourg area and returned there to practise family law after being called to the Ontario Bar in June 2014. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Ottawa and her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, graduating in 2013 in the top five percent of her class with awards in restitution and commercial law. She practises family law, including negotiating and drafting separation agreements, representing clients in mediation and arbitration, and family court litigation. Her work covers complex financial issues such as self-employment income, equalization of family property, high-conflict parenting disputes, and child and spousal support. Since 2016 she has acted as an agent for the Office of the Children's Lawyer, representing children and minor parents in custody, access and child protection matters. McCourt is a past vice-president of the Northumberland County Law Association.
