About Anita

Anita Szabo, K.C. is a Senior Associate Counsel at Lam Legal with over 35 years of experience in regulatory compliance, enforcement, and litigation. She previously served as Crown Counsel and prosecutor for the City of Calgary, handling regulatory and enforcement matters, and her practice has a particular strength in municipal law, advising local governments and individuals on bylaw infractions, zoning, licensing, and enforcement. She has also acted in civil litigation involving regulatory challenges, administrative appeals, and public law claims, and has prosecuted federal offences including breaches of national park regulations. Szabo was appointed Queen's Counsel (now King's Counsel) in recognition of her contributions to the legal profession.
