About Amanda

Amanda Kostek is a partner focused on subrogation, large property losses, and professional indemnity and specialty insurance claims. Kostek chairs CBM's Subrogation Group Practice, leading recovery strategies on complex multi-party losses and advising on waiver of subrogation, covenants to insure, and priority of insurance issues. Amanda writes and edits Case Bites, the firm's weekly review of insurance-related court decisions, and has mentored articling students both at CBM and through Law Society of Alberta mentorship programs. Kostek was called to the Alberta bar in 2007 and holds a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction from the University of Alberta.
