About Alexandra

Alexandra Barkany joined Chenette, Litigation Boutique at the start of 2024. Barkany's career began at a major Quebec firm, progressing from student to Barreau articling student to civil and commercial litigation lawyer, working on research, drafting procedures and appearing before judicial and administrative bodies. Barkany's practice focuses on medical liability, professional and disciplinary law, defamation and media law, and Barkany serves on the boards of organizations working on social-justice causes. Barkany holds a law degree from Université de Montréal, including a student exchange at the University of Bologna in Italy, and completed a master's degree at Université de Montréal while working as a research assistant, with a thesis examining the legal framework for public whistleblowing in the health sector. Barkany was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2022.
