About Tyson
Tyson Dyck is a partner at Torys whose practice centers on environmental and climate change law, covering energy and infrastructure projects, environmental commodities transactions and sustainability strategies. Within the Environmental Group, he leads the firm's Climate Change Practice and co-leads its Sustainability Practice. His experience includes helping develop, permit and finance more than 50 projects spanning wind, solar, gas-fired, hydro and energy storage facilities, representing upwards of 7,500 megawatts of installed capacity. He also advises on carbon management initiatives, including carbon dioxide removal and large carbon capture and sequestration projects, and regularly negotiates with regulators, Indigenous communities and municipalities during environmental assessment processes. Tyson counsels major companies on carbon trading strategies and long-term offtakes for carbon removal projects, and advises financial institutions and pension funds on climate transition strategies and greenwashing risk.
