About Alexa
Alexa Faria is an associate in Shibley Righton LLP's Civil and Commercial Litigation group, where she articled before being called to the Ontario Bar in 2025. During law school she served as Co-President of the Innocence Project and contributed to the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, supporting women facing violence and systemic barriers. In her final year she completed an Integrated Practice Curriculum placement at the Superior Court of Justice, gaining firsthand experience with the judicial system and complex trials. Before law school she earned an Honours degree in Criminology with distinction from York University and worked as a court reporter, exposed to a wide range of legal proceedings. Her practice areas include civil litigation, insurance law, labour and employment law, municipal liability law, and professional liability law.
