About Al

Al leads Osler's tax controversy practice and is considered among Canada's foremost tax litigation lawyers. He has argued more cases before the Supreme Court of Canada than any other Canadian tax litigator, including foundational decisions on tax avoidance and transfer pricing such as Shell Canada, Canada Trustco and GlaxoSmithKline. His recent work includes major transfer pricing disputes involving General Electric and Cameco Corporation. Al is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holds an LLM from Harvard Law School, and is admitted to practise in both Alberta and Ontario.
