About Matthew

Matthew Desmarais is a Partner whose practice touches the firm's Cannabis, Intellectual Property + Technology, Business Disputes, Corporate/Commercial, and Labour + Employment groups. He aims to give clients practical, business-focused advice and has appeared as counsel in various British Columbia courts, including at the provincial and supreme court levels and on appeal, as well as before the BC Human Rights Tribunal, WorkSafeBC's Review Division, and in a number of arbitrations. Away from work, Matthew enjoys ice hockey and hiking, and spends time with family and friends. He is a devoted fan of the Vancouver Canucks.
