About Yuri

Yuri Tarnowecky has practised law in Kingston for more than 50 years, with a focus on residential and commercial real estate and wills and estates. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph and a law degree from Queen's University, and was called to the bar in 1975. Since moving to Kingston in 1969, he has been active in the community, including three terms as a City of Kingston alderman, a term as Deputy Mayor and Chairman of the Police Commission, and leadership roles with Kingston Minor Hockey and the Ukrainian Canadian community. He currently serves as president of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Parish.
