About Yan
Yan Besner is a partner in Osler's Real Estate Group in the Montréal office. He advises on acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing transactions for real estate companies and clients with core real estate assets, including property owners, developers, lenders and other commercial clients. Yan has extensive experience advising national and international retailers, including franchise businesses, on commercial real estate matters in Québec, and provides ongoing counsel to institutional property owners, REITs, family offices and government authorities on their leasing needs across Canada. He created Estoppel Express, an estoppel certificate production service developed on the Osler Works platform, and has chaired the Program Planning Committee for the ICSC Canadian Shopping Centre Law Conference. Yan has taught International Finance at the Master's level at the Faculty of Law of Université de Montréal.
